The Blanc collection from Australia’s Craig Smith takes a cue from Europe’s chicest runways

Ready-to-wear collections from Gucci and Chanel provided the inspiration for stylist Craig Smith’s glamorous Blanc collection, an American Salon exclusive. Smith, who is director and owner of Fruition Hair salons in Australia, played upon the fabric texture of the shoot’s wardrobe pieces, including delicate lace and airy chiffon, when creating the collection’s graphic crops, architectural updos and flowing long looks. “Blanc captures definitive opulence and finesse,” Smith says. “The collection is shot in black and white to accentuate the focus on intricate styling, and projects an overall tone of classic chic.” —Lotus Abrams

L’Oréal Professionnel’s new H3
team of hairstylists releases the
Néo Parisien Anthology.
Representing the ideas of Heart, Hand and Head, H3
is L’Oréal Professionnel’s new international team
of hairstylists who determine cutting and styling
trends each year and translate them into a stunning
collection of editorial images that can be recreated by
salon stylists around the world. The inaugural body
of work seen exclusively in American Salon, the Néo
Parisien Anthology, takes the team to the heart of
Paris, telling the story of a group of friends whose
sophisticated lifestyles involve perusing art galleries,
enjoying cocktails on the town and wiling away the
afternoon in romantic cafés. “The feeling the images
portray is a fashion-focused beauty, crossing cultural
and global demographics.” says Drew Schaefering, an
H3 representative in the United States. “The styles are
incredibly beautiful and wearable for every client in
our salons.” —Lotus Abrams >
