American Salon AUGUST 2012 : Page 24
From the founder of OPI… There were plenty of industry luminaries and insiders—from celebrity style icon Ted Gibson to Matrix’s Patrick O’Keefe and L’Oréal Professional Product Division’s Christine Schuster —on-hand to wish American Salon a very special happy birthday on June 28 in New York City. The evening soiree, staged at Tree Bistro’s beautiful garden oasis in the East Village, provided nonstop networking opportunities and also served as the big reveal of the magazine’s July 135 th anniversary collector’s issue featuring a retrospective of industry history. Matrix artists Brian and Sandra Smith could hardly contain their enthusiasm when they nally got to see their handiwork on the cover. “It’s beautiful,” they both gushed. We couldn’t agree more!
