American Crew U.S. Competition Open for Entries American Crew is currently accepting entries from U.S. stylists for its men’s styling competition, Face Off. The U.S. winner will receive a one-year stylist contract with the Wilhelmina Artists’ W Artist division and will represent the United States during the company’s global Face Off competition in Los Angeles held from January 28 to February 1. The international Face Off winner receives backstage access to the 2013 global American Crew show in Europe, a spread in American Crew’s 2013 Style Selection book and a full set of the American Crew Men’s Corner salon furniture collection. To enter, stylists should send black-and-white photos of their best men’s cut and style using American Crew products to americancrew.com/faceoff by September 30. Jane Wurwand Honored by LA Business Journal Jane Wurwand, founder and owner of Dermalogica , was named Business Owner/ CEO of the Year by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) as part of its annual Women Making a Difference awards program, for which nearly 200 business leaders competed in four categories. Since Wurwand founded Dermalogica in 1986, the company has prepared thousands of women for entrepreneurial success as professional skin therapists.
