A new release from Schwarzkopf Professional turns up the volume on cutting-edge styles and exciting color. By Kelley donahue PhotograPhy By SaBine liewald Schwarzkopf Professional International PPS Manager Steve Hogan and Essential Looks Global Ambassadors Tyler Johnston and Lesley Lawson set the tone for fashionable hair this season with Essential Looks Color Buzz—a body of work seen exclusively on these pages. The spring/summer 2013 collection spotlights four au courant trends, namely White Angels, Mono Mods, Glam Chic and Electric Youth, which have been reinterpreted into haute catwalk looks as well as salon ready-to-wear creations. The common denominator? Exciting hues created with the new Igora Royal, a line that delivers 50 percent longer color retention and 25 percent greater vibrancy without fadeage. “Color has the power to transform and fire the imagination,” Hogan says. “It’s a visual vocabulary that enables us to tailor a trend to the individual and make great looks unforgettable.”
