By KELLEy DONAHUE PHOtOgrAPHy By MONtANA LOwEry When it was time to create her latest collection—an American Salon exclusive—British hairdresser Angela Lowery drew inspiration from famous artists such as Paul Cézanne and Claude Monet, who utilized pure-powdered pigments to create visual masterpieces. “Using the vast array of products that color, shape and mold as my medium, I created wearable shapes that look absolutely effortless,” says Lowery, who hails from Y Salon, situated in Newcastle upon Tyne’s Eldon Garden section, Great Britain. She then set to work, pairing the looks with pretty, simple fashions in delicate shades and interesting patterns. “The end result is an absolutely beautiful canvas of hair works of art that inspire the girl within all of us,” Lowery says.
