Freeman’s multitextured half-up style perfectly showed off the new hue. (See “Cover Look,” page 28 for the styling how-to.) Dress: Herve Leger FACING PAGE: To achieve this sultry dark chocolate hue, Patrick Fitzwater mixed equal parts Chromatics 4Ag (4.17) with 20-volume Chromatics Oil in Cream Developer. He then styled the hair into a Grecian-goddess inspired half-up, half-down style by spiral-tonging large sections of the hair with a 5 / 8 -inch iron, over-directing to produce diagonal waves.
