Award-winning stylist Rae Palmer dials up sexy texture and ladylike styles for her latest collection. BY KELLEY DONAHUE PHOTOGRAPHY BY JACK EAMES Rae Palmer’s new body of work, Blanco—an American Salon exclusive—definitely speaks to women whose sense of style is rooted in modern femininity. “The collection showcases a mix of tried-and-trusted and completely new methods,” says the British hairdresser. To wit: An overcut technique was used to maintain the hair’s length and give it an on-trend 1970s twist, and in another creative take, Palmer called on knitting needles and a straightening iron to create a cross between a crimp and a curl. “Both beautiful and wearable, the looks boast a blend of vibrant colors and textures that contrast with the monochromatic styling to highlight the hair,” Palmer says.
